The diodes in the front end are protecting two N type transistors, despite the way it is drawn similarly to a stack
of P and N.  Both diodes are to the same ground point and other ends to a separate transistor.
Each transistor must always be on alone.  Turn both on and you'll get DC flowing in the center tap and out each
winding leg equally and heating the transformer up rapidly.
