That's a power converter module.  The transformer in my sketch is different,
simpler, cheaper probably.

Not practical. No.

They won't need to be as big as 1uF likely for some pulse shaping and reducing EMI
radiated.  Need to figure out some particular circuits with pencil and paper and simulate them next.
